Reddit Toolkit
The Reddit toolkit lets LLM agents interact with Reddit via the Arcade tool-calling framework, covering read and write operations across posts, comments, and subreddits.
Capabilities
- Identity & account: Retrieve the authenticated user's username and their own post history.
- Subreddit discovery: Check subreddit existence and access status (public/private/restricted), fetch subreddit rules, and list posts with metadata using listing types (hot, new, top, controversial) and time ranges.
- Post retrieval: Fetch the full content of a single post or multiple posts in one request; prefer the bulk endpoint when retrieving more than one post.
- Commenting & posting: Submit new text posts to a subreddit, comment on a post, and reply to an existing comment.
OAuth
This toolkit authenticates via OAuth 2.0 using Reddit as the provider. Arcade manages the OAuth flow automatically. See the Arcade Reddit auth provider docs for setup details.
